Ronnie Brandon

Ronnie Brandon grew up in Oakland California and graduated from California State University Hayward. Afterwards he moved overseas to Tokyo Japan where he lived for nine years. This was one of the best experiences in his life. He studied at Waseda University in Tokyo Japan. There he majored in Japanese Language, teaching English as a Second Language, and International Relationships He then moved back to the USA living in Honolulu Hawaii for seven years. There he worked in Tour Operations and creation for JTB (Japan Travel Bureau). The largest Japanese travel agency in the world.

Ronnie moved back to the mainland where he started a career in International Fraud and Portfolio Management at Bank of America in San Francisco California. He later migrated to Phoenix Arizona with a lateral job transfer. He later started playing and teaching Tennis at the Seth Korey Tennis Academy.

Ronnie picked up a Pickleball Paddle, roughly three years ago, and hasn’t put it down since. He’s extremely passionate about the sport. Pickleball, a hybrid of tennis, badminton and ping-pong, is the fastest growing sport in America. As an Ambassador for Electrum Pro Pickleball, based in Northern California, he has helped to create an enormous interest in the sport throughout the private and public sectors of the Phoenix, Arcadia, Scottsdale and PV areas.

The sleek all Black Electrum Pro I and Model E Paddles are very well liked and represented. Ronnie has introduced the game and the Electrum Pro Pickleball Paddle to raw beginners, families, mid-level improvers, as well as seasoned Pros.

Pickleball Highlights

• Professional Trainer and Coach: Director of Pickleball at The McCormick Scottsdale. USAPA/PPR Certified Professional Instructor for ALL levels from Beginners (those with no sports nor paddle usage background) to Improved players (those with some sports and racket usage background). Additionally, providing Group lessons, Clinics as well as Tournaments play for players of ALL skills sets.

• Tournament Achievements: Multiple medal winner from every tournament entered thus far including Gold.

• Methodology: Stress Court safety by wearing proper foot gear and eyewear while using appropriate equipment and training tools. Emphasis on Static and Dynamic stretching to warm up prior to beginning ALL sessions. The basic stance and movement to hit the ball is Shoulders over Hips over Ankles.

• Instructional Progression: Be it the NVZ Dinking, Serve & Return or Transition 3rd Shot drop drills, they all start with Ball to Ball then Ball to Paddle and finally Paddle to Paddle as a development cycle to start and finish.
