Yuri Jacob Salzano

Yuri is originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Yuri’s history:

• Started playing at the age of 12 years old

• Played in state juniors team, ITF tournaments until 17 years old.

• Stopped playing for 2 years and decided to pursue studies and use tennis to come to the USA.

• Was recruited to play for Mesa Community College in Arizona, and at the time was top 5 NCJAA in the country.

• Started coaching at MCC for a year

• Transferred to be a Volunteer Assistant Coach in a Division 1 tennis program at Boise State University for 2 years.

• Went back to Brazil, to work and develop national ranked players.

• Transferred back to Arizona to finish my studies and coach a team of a couple ITF players.

Yuri says:
"My goal and focus is to focus on biomechanics, and high performance tennis players, but also teach people that never played before to learn the proper technique for the sport."
