Frank Frounfelker
Frank started playing tennis at 19 years old while serving in the USAF. Not one to resist a challenge so started hitting on a wall, he was hooked. He has developed a relationship with the game of tennis that is often referred to as the “other woman in his life”. He says that he is not happier than when playing or teaching the game. He has played many years (40+) in USTA leagues in Ohio, Arizona, and California, and continue to play in tournaments in an effort to challenge my skills. He enjoys practicing and have continued to take lessons to develop my game to take it to the next level.
He says, “There is nothing more rewarding to me while working at SKTA to see someone start out unable to hit a ball and by the end of the hour we can rally back and forth. To encourage kids to find a way to stay positive and keep trying fills my heart in a way that nothing has for a long time.”
